Tire Question

Hey guys and gals,

OK I'm starting to think of myself as a dumbass and that is why I'm turning to you all on this one...

I've bought new tires for my 2007 WK, and they're Cooper Discoverer At3's. Let me tell you, they are SWEET looking tires! They definitely meet the "mean and beefy" criteria. Anyways, they are stock size, 245/65r17. I have a stock height WK and after placing them next to the current (stock) tires they are obviously larger. My question is...will they mount and balance just fine or will I have an issue when they are installed tomorrow? I've read some forums from other users stating you may need to re-gear and other miscellaneous stuff? Is there any truth to this and is there anything else I should be concerned about when I have it put up on the lift tomorrow?

Thanks again, you guys are the best!

You'll be fine. I installed stock size yoko at's 3 years ago. Slightly larger than The goodyears. Zero issues because the difference is .1 inches.

I plan to get 245 70 17's next. Lots of guys on here with that size. No issues.

Pics when installed!!

I'm on my second set of 255-65-17's on the stock rims, with the newest the Cooper A/T3's just a week old and have no problems.

I had them mounted just as a new snow storm was blowing into Tahoe and was very impressed with their performance in the 4-6 inches we had on the ground during the storm and the icy conditions since.

You should be pleased with yours as well!
