Tire Size after OME Lift

My jeep is still stock height at the moment, but the OME MD lift is on it's way! I put spidertrax 1.5' spacers on my truck the other day since i'm going to run stock rims. My question pertains to the max tire size I can run. All over the forums I see most people running 265/70, but i'm wondering what the biggest and widest tire I can run could be. Anyone?

Re: Tire Size after OME Lift

With a little work and some massaging you can fit 285/70/17 (32.7 x 11.2)! Or you can stick with a 265/70 (31.6 x 10.4) or 255/75 (32.1 x 10).

Re: Tire Size after OME Lift

Hmm sounds good. Now when you speak of a little work and massaging, you mean cutting bolts and performing a pinch weld mod?

Re: Tire Size after OME Lift

Hahaha! Up front you will need to fold over the pinch weld and then smash it with a BFH. In the rear you will need to fold over the forward half of the fender:

You will probably have to extend your bump stops as well.
