Re: Tires!!???

well, since i wrote the first post i have: got a 2 in rc lift, afe stage 2 intake, and painted the wheels black. Aggressive is the direction i want to go. I like the nitto terras, ill consider those, I also like the general grabbers AT2. They have nothing but good reviews on tire rack, plus there fairly inexpensive.

Re: Tires!!???

Drewbrewsky, that was the other tire I was looking at when I finally pulled the trigger. The generals were just a little more expensive and seemed to be an equal and I really liked the look of the side walls. I too am mostly onroad but wanted to look good doing what I have to each day. Check out the pic in my sig, that is what they look like with no lift. At least the big ones. I imagine with an additional 2" of altitude this would look even better. Oh and there is a tiny rub at full lock, and when they articulate across a big ditch they just barely touch at the top. Not enough to make me make changes. I figure if I am articulating that much on the street I have bigger problems, like trying to keep the shiny side up or keep my shorts clean as it goes over..

Re: Tires!!???

Well i got the grabbers. 265/70/17 general grabbers at2, i had to cut the upper ball joint stud but it was totaly worth it, and with the 2" rc lift it looks mean. I got em for a good price too, 139.00 each from tire rack but i ordered them from discount tire so they could match the price and i didnt have to pay freight. Overall im happy.

Ill try to get pictures up soon.

Re: Tires!!???

Good Choice. They are great tires and have a 60k warranty. Just make sure to keep them rotated regularly or they will chop up in on the fronts. I am hoping to get a set of these for my wk before winter.

WE NEED PICS! NOW!

Re: Tires!!???

Muds are very over rated unless you need/use them on a regular basis. Ive had both on many of my lifted jeeps ive had in the past and everything i ever did with my muds i had also done with a set of BALD BFG AT KOs. I mean less then 3/32nds of tread left. Muds also suck in the rain and some of them suck in the snow. A high quality AT will take you just as far as an MT.

All true but they look so damn good!! Lol. But in all seriousness, I'd never use em. My Firestone Destination ATs have done me good and haven't failed me yet! Just wish they looked more gnarls

Re: Tires!!???

The other thing to remember is they will wear out much faster then ATs, so your spending big money for looks more often.
