TireTiresTiresTires help

Don't kill me for bringing this up again lol just a few last questions before I make my purchase...
I have a set of oem srt8 rims I'm looking to put on my 07 Jeep laredo the stock tire size on it now is 245/65/17.

Can anyone recommend a tire set up for me. Size and brand. Everyone is telling to go with the nitto420s but I don't feel I need such a performance tire like that on a v6 jeep... Not looking to spend over $1000..closer to $800 if possible. These will only be on in the spring and summer months.
I was thinking of just going with the stock srt8 tire size? What tire set ups do you have on your srt rims? And what size? Thank you!!

I don't think you'll find tires that size that are not performance tires. I am guessing you didn't buy the used 275/315 combo you were looking at?? As I said on your other thread, I am running 265/45 and 295/40-20's on mine with SRT Rep wheels. I use Toyo Proxes STII's. This is my 3rd set on two different vehicles and they last forever. I actually got tired of the ones I had on the stock Jeep wheels, because they wouldn't wear out, currently about 45K on them and about half left. Now I use them for my winter tires and the new STII's for summer use. I paid about $1000, including siping. The Nittos are suppose to be pretty good too, cost a bit less, but I didn't like the tread design, and decided to go with something I was familiar, and happy with.

thanks for the reply man, and no i didnt buy the used set, although they are still available, 315 rear kinda freaks me out for some reason i feel like im going to run into problems with how wide they are. i did see them in person and they are in good shape, but buying used tires also am not a fan of..
