trouble reassembling front strut and springs

I'm replacing my front springs with SRT8 springs and new struts. I have the Monroe top strut mounts, new top and bottom isolators and I'm trying to put the spring/strut together. The issue I'm having is the top strut mount wants to torque and rotate as I tighten the strut bolt to compress the spring. This puts the four top mount bolts out of position to install in the strut tower in the Jeep and once you have the strut nut tightened down you cannot rotate the top mount because of the tension on the assembly.

Is there some trick to doing the strut and spring assembly to keep everything in alignment? Any advise would be helpful.

Re: trouble reassembling front strut and springs

Never mind. I figured out a way to twist the top mount relative to the strut to get everything aligned. I used the edge of my workbench to lock two of the top mount studs in place then using rubber gloves to get a good grip applied a lot of twisting with my hands and body to slowly rotate the top mount 1/6" at a time until it was aligned properly. Got the spring/strut assy installed and everything buttoned up on the passenger side. Now I just need to attack the driver side and my SRT8 suspension upgrade will be complete.
