What Are My Tire Options on a Stock Height 17" Rim

What's my options to fill the wheel well for my stock height 2008 Grand Cherokee Overland with 17" rims. Basically looking at height increase options without an actual lift. Did this with an old Bronco and everyone thought it was lifted.

What have you been successful with? Pictures?

Many thanks,

Although I don't recommend it, I've seen 255/75/17 KM1s on a stock WK. It will require you to do the pinch weld/liner mod, and either trim your UCA bolt or get the JBA arms. IF your just going for looks, get maybe a 245/65/17 with some meaty tred and save yourself the work!

Thank you for the recommendations. Always thought it sat low for a 4x4 so looking for any height I can get without a modification and the wife complaining I spent a bunch of money and now she cannot get in...without a goose.

I have 255/65/17 General Grabber AT2's. Anything wider or taller you will have to do some modification. I'm at stock height but have 5100's at lowest setting in front to level it out.

I too was about to put on 255/65r17's (Michelin Defender LTX), but Discount happened to be out of them in that size, so they gave me 265/65r17's for the same price.

I too have the 5100's installed (also at the lowest setting on the fronts), and the 265/65's just barely missed the UCA bolt (driver side was about 1/8" and the passenger side was about 1/16" from touching). On my 2-3 mile drive home, there was some very light rub marks without taking any hard turns... I cut off about 5/8" of the UCA bolts, which leaves about 1/4" of the hex head that can still be grabbed with an 8mm wench, and there is plenty of clearance now. (The Michelin Defender's do not have very aggressive tread, though.)

I have some 255/75/17 BF Goodrich Mud Terrains on my 2014 Grand Cherokee Laredo. Didn't rub at all but still installed a leveling kit so it sits nice.

I have never looked...do the WK2's have the same UCA bolt and pinch weld issues?

I do not believe a 32x10 will fit a WK without modification to both (cutting the bolt and folding the pinch weld).
