wheel spacers needed for moabs?

I am looking to purchase 5 moabs today with bfg mud terrains and a 2 inch lift soon. Are wheel spacers needed for this set up? or something i could go without for a little bit?

Hi,

I always heard wheel spacers were very bad for the bearings and bolts fixation is that true or you guys are mentally prepared to change all your bearing twice faster ??

i disagree- ive ran my 1/4" spacers for close to 30k and havent had a single problem. ill be upping to 1" this weekend. alot of guys are running 1.5" and have wheeled and ran them for quite some time with no problems.

Depends on what size tire u want and u have to clear the bolt up top go look at your jeep and just look at that bolt an ask yourself be sorry and risk loosing a brand new 150$ tire or be safe and just run some spacers. I see why everyone says use the search button on the top right

Re: wheel spacers needed for moabs?

May be it's not so bad as having wheel spacers with stock wheels like Moab or else...

Because there is big backspace so the point of support is still "in the tire width"

Sorry for my english, hope you'll see what I mean!

I don't know what u said but up u said we like changing them well actually yes because life time warranty or 1 year so just wear then out quick. Plus when changing i get to inspect my bolts and brakes and everything. And my tools stay oiled and not rusty

Re: wheel spacers needed for moabs?

I ran Moabs and Rubicon BFG's for two years with no spacers or lift. Now I have an OME MD lift and run 255-80R17 BFG KM2's, still with no spacers. And I haven't cut the bolt either. I did have to grind the outside lip of the caliper a little to clear the rim.
