Which Tires Would You Go With?

Which tires would you go with and why?

1.) BFG All Terrains 245/70/17

-or-

2.) General AT2 245/70/17

These will be going on a non lifted WK and I am hoping I can get away with these tires without spacers. Just looking for some opinions as they seem to be pretty comparable as far as tread pattern goes.

Thanks!

Lol.

BFG of course. You can get 80,000 miles out of them.

Re: Which Tires Would You Go With?

Oh and no need for spacers with that size tire.

Wow...Where did you find that spec? I haven't been able to find anything for mileage. It looks like the General AT2's are only rated for around 60,000 miles? Is this correct? The only reason I was looking at the two is the BFG's are about $200 each where the AT2's are 150 each.

Re: Which Tires Would You Go With?

What about if I were to add the Firestone Destination AT's? I don't want to spend a bunch of money but want a good quality AT tire.

I don't know anything about them. I didn't get very many miles out of the Destination LE's.

Alrighty then...I don't want to spend $200/tire but I used to have them on my old WJ and I loved them. They've just raised their prices since then lol. Guessing I may just stick with them unless anyone else has any input.

I've got Destination ATs and I LOVE them!! And half the price of BFGs. Great for everything from regular road to dirt, ice, snow, mud, etc. And they will last as long as BFGs as long as you rotate regularly!

Also, I'd wait to plasti dip your wheels till you get the tires (saw your other thread)

Good to hear! How is the road noise on them?

Thanks for the info bud! The dealership told me I only had about 5-10k miles left on my tires and we have a road trip to MI from FL next month so I'll either get them when we get back or maybe even while we are in MI. We shall see what kind of deals I can get. Thanks again!

No road noise at all!! Great tires and great prices. My next tires will prolly be BFG MUDs but I'm loving my Destination ATs

Yea I'd wait for the new tires for the plasti dip. No balancing problems, no weight issues, just an easy and cheap mod that looks fantastic!

Good luck yo!
