i think because you have the 3.7, the 6.1 srt has more weight

Re: Why NO drop? Bilstein Install and FAIL!

That can't be possible. The SRT springs are physically shorter than the laredo ones, no?

Did you do the install yourself?

Re: Why NO drop? Bilstein Install and FAIL!

Don't take this personally, bc it may be a stupid question...
Also, I'm a lifted guy so dont know a ton about the street mods... BUT did you install the SRT Bilsteins? or the regular WK Bilsteins?

Bc the SRT Bilsteins with SRT springs will lower you.. but if you used WK Bilsteins, you actually would increase your height 3/8". Also, that may not have even been possible to install WK Bilsteins with SRT Springs..not sure, just a suggestion towards a possible answer...

Mongoose9400 is an unknown quantity at this point
Did you take measurements before and after? This is a critical step!!! Gotta know what we are working with. Need numerical data on what happened after the new parts went in.

Re: Why NO drop? Bilstein Install and FAIL!

Guys,

Thank you very much!

I did not measure the height I should have but I did buy the WK bilsteins instead of the SRT-8 bilsteins,

If WK will lift me up then what would be my next step! I would like it lower!

Thanks

Re: Why NO drop? Bilstein Install and FAIL!

the srt springs will only lower you 1 inch overall from a WK. that would be both SHOCKS and SPRINGS.

if you want lower than that you need SRT EIBACH and SRT bilsteins or BC Coilovers.

Re: Why NO drop? Bilstein Install and FAIL!

i have wk bilsteins and wk eibachs and i was asking myself the same
question once they were installed. Now i regret not getting

Re: Why NO drop? Bilstein Install and FAIL!

I'm going to be in the market for WK Bilstein struts very soon... If you feel like selling them at a good price since you accidentally purchased the wrong ones.. I would be interested in taking them off your hands... just a suggestion.

Re: Why NO drop? Bilstein Install and FAIL!

Honestly I would have bought them but I never thought that the SRT would fit the WK bilstein slots.

How will it ride after I install an eibachs spring set? does it have to be for the SRT or just a lower kind of eibachs for my WK?

Thanks!
