WK owners with 265/70R17 in spare location

I am doing the hitch mod and plan to use 265/70R17 Duratracs on all four corners.

I have read that people are getting this size tire in the spare location but I wonder if that is a new tire or even fully aired.

comments?

Did you get it to work? I'm also wondering this.

I have not tried. Decided I was too low on cash so I am not doing a lift this year. I am buying 245/70R17 GY Duratracs so not worried they will fit the spare location.

You can fit 255/65R17 on stock wheels with zero rubbing issues.

I've got 255/70/18 Sahara wheels and tires on my 06 WK, and I couldn't get the spare to fit in the spare location. Not sure if it's because of my tow hitch, but it seemed pretty tight side to side as well

a new full spare 265/70/17 will NOT fit in stock location aired up.only way it will fit with the hitch is aired down or a tire with lower tread and even then its a tight fit
