WK2 Rims on WK

Hello everyone, just bought polished 20"WK2 rims with 265/50R/20 tires for my WK Limited, I trimmed the end of the Clevis bolt as it was touching the tire but noticed rubbing occurring at the front steering knuckle part on the sidewall of the tire only...Rubbing wasn't to bad as the tire did spin with resistance ....Grrr. I don't want to install spacers cause I heard they are dangerous and in Canada illegal, my question is has anyone installed either 245/50R/20 or 255/50R/20 with success, I currently have 255/60R/17 with no rubbing issues but they are a shorter diameter tire and compared to the 265/50/20 there is not much difference in width.ImageUploadedByJeepGarage1486921009.756025.jpg

This isn't much help but this was my exact worry when I wanted to run 265s all around. People kept saying you might have trim down the upper control arm ball joint bolt but that's fine. It was the inner tire wall hitting the steering knuckle that I figured wouldn't clear. Because with just 255/65/17s there's only like ~3/8" clearance.

That vertical part of the knuckle is pretty beefy so I'd wonder if you get grind it in just a TOUCH to get clearance...?

Now the question then becomes... what's worse? Doing that or spacers? Lol.
I personally hate spacers on certain wheels because I can't stand when tires stick out past the fendets. I know this isn't much help....

A buddy of mine suggested the same thing, I'm going to take it in consideration. I'm going to my tire shop first and have him try both 245/50/20 and 255/50/20.

Re: WK2 Rims on WK

Thanks for all the help, I ended up shaving 3mm off of the aluminum steering knuckle and cutting off the Clevis bolts on both sides, the end result is freakin fantastic. It was like these rims were made for WK's lolImageUploadedByJeepGarage1487632287.800186.jpgImageUploadedByJeepGarage1487632311.083172.jpgImageUploadedByJeepGarage1487632340.137179.jpgImageUploadedByJeepGarage1487632359.407937.jpg
