You've probably seen this 1000 times but heres one more

After having my Jeep for just about 8 months I've finally got it lifted with a set of Rubicon wheels and tires. Got a daystar lift and spidertrax wheel spacers from ebay and picked up 5 Rubicon wheels and tires from craigslist. The guy that had the wheels painted them. I can't decide if I should leave them or plasti dip them black. Open to opinions.

I agree. I think I'm going to leave them go for a couple weeks and see if the color grows on me.

What psi is everyone running in their mud terrains? Did a couple searches and didn't come up with anything. From what I've found the Rubicon door says 37. Is that what everyone uses?

I like it. Great balance . . and I'd leave the wheels dark grey. Looks awesome.

What size spacers are you using.? I've just started collecting the parts to do similar to my Blue 2005 Hemi GC. I've got the little lift kit coming (with leveling aspect) and I have centric 1.5" spacers (front and back) coming as well. They may be more than I want or need, but I'll have them ready to go.

I'd like Rubicon or Sahara wheels. How long does the plasti-dip last on a set of wheels typically? Will it work on chrome? What is the best prep process?

Thanks fellas. I'm new here, but excited about the prospect of changing up the jeep. It's an 05 with 55,000 miles. Quite low I think. I had 20's on it, but I noticed one of the wheels had cracks around the lugs. Just one of course and do you think I could find another like it . . .anywhere? Gonna sell the 20's as the tires are newish . . sell the new Michelins on stock wheels and grap some Rubicons on 18's I hope!

Re: You've probably seen this 1000 times but heres one more

Spacers are spidertrax 1.5". I didn't know if I would like how far they stuck out but its grown on me and now I really like it. Plasti-dips site says it will last 3 years if applied properly. I haven't done anything with it. When I bough my rubicons the guy before me had already painted them. My brother in-law did a set of wheels for the winter and they held up great so far. I'm pretty sure it will work on chrome. I would say just clean it really well. You know the rubicon wheels are 17's and the sahara wheels are 18s.

Craigslist is probably your cheapest bet. They are the stock Jeep Rubicon wheels.
