Aftermarket Navi?

Hey all, Im new to the forum so be easy on me! I have a few questions concerning my current radio system and upgrading it. I have an 05 cherokee with the 6cd changer. What is boston acoustics? Does anyone know about the original parrot asteroid navi system or new asteroid smart system and also what is its compatibility with this year GC? Thanks guys!

If you are wanting to put a nav unit in the GC you will first need to get the nav bezel so you can accommodate a double din Head unit. Secondly you will need to get the wiring harness that will allow you to connect the unit to it, depending on which harness you get you might also lose the stock amplifier if you have one.

To check if you have the amplifier you need to remove the body panel on the driver side in the cargo area. If there is an amp there you have the Boston system if not you have the regular head unit.

Hope that answers some of the questions for you.

check through some of my older posts, i've gone over a ton of radio stuff for the WK. I'm also in CT, need any help or advice shoot me a pm.

Been a Car audio installer for over 8 years now.
