Aux input on radio - only plays one channel audio

I figure it has a short or some shitty soldering or whatever. I tried with two different 3.5mm audio cables and two different devices, still only get right channel audio. Normal radio plays fine on both sides. Its odd this just cropped up after the vehicle was sitting a week while I was away on a trip.

I'm actually still under warranty but pretty much dreading having to waste time at the dealer for 'diagnosis' just so they can go ahead and order another damn radio. I can diagnose it for them in two minutes right in the lane lol.

07 WK, I think its the REF radio.

Any tips to get them to hurry up and order me a new one and not waste my time?

Doublecheck that both plugs are pushed all the way in. Sounds dumb but everytime my wife plugs her iphone into the jeep with an aux cable it needs another 1/16" click in. If its not in all the way you get only right channel audio.

No it makes sense, that happens all the time to me with my phone. But in this case it seems to be some shitty solder job inside the unit itself. If I didn't have the warranty i'd either open the radio up or just shell out 60 bucks on ebay and get a new one...which is tempting to do regardless, then again this is a new dealer halfway around the country from where I bought my wk so we'll see how they do.
