Oh, don't feel bad, I've had my '05 for 4 years and didn't know!!

I always thought it sounded pretty good, especially when comparing it to my minivan that sounds like total crap. And that has Infinity speakers in it!! Verfy muddy sounding in my opinion.

Re: Boston vs stock wk speaker

I just found out I had the Boston Acoustics in my 06' WK by looking in the cargo area vent (drivers side). If you shine a flashlight in the vent you can see the silver heat sink of the amp. Probably alot easier than removing a speaker

Re: Boston vs stock wk speaker

My dad has the Boston system in his 08 WK Limited, while I have the stock in my 06 Laredo. There is clearly a difference in quality and clarity at the higher volumes. Bass is a factor swell because we tested them out one on one and the Boston system does much better. However, any aftermarket system will blow these two out of the water. How far you blow them just depends on how much $$$ you have/are willing to spend.

Re: Boston vs stock wk speaker

Go with the Boston SE's as upgrades. Cheaper than the kickers and much better sounding. Upgrading to the kicker amp is a complete waste of time. Check the spec sheets and those amps aren't very different.
