CD player stuck

I have Jeep 2005 grand cherokee limited and have a 6 mp3 cd while driving and listening to my cd it just stopped working and said " DISC ERROR " it does not recognize any of he 6 cd's. Now when I press the mode button it now longer accesses the CD/Disk function. I am trying to find out how to eject the CD in the system and then get it running again if possible.
Need help
thanks

Look for a small hole just under the disk tray. It is usually on the right side.
If you have a "T-pin" file the sharp tip off it, and shove it CAREFULLY into that hole--it should eject the tray unless it is jammed in there. There is a steel tool that some audio shops have in the repair area. The unit does not need power on for this, the pin provides the mechanical power as you CAREFULLY push in on it with enough pressure to eject.

Re: CD player stuck

I don't know your model, but some will try to eject if you turn them off, hold the eject button, and then turn power on, holding both buttons. Watch the unit to see if the tray moves at all... if it moves and then stops, you either have a busted transport [hopefully not] or the CD is not properly seated in the unit. If thats the case, you can sometimes free it up by CAREFULLY using a sacrificial CD [e.g. Jingle Cats] and shoving it in an inch or two above and/or below the one in the unit, feeling for movement indicating that the disc has seated.

There's a nylon plastic tool about the size of an elongated credit card that also works... but if the simple methods don't work, bribe a buddy that works in a car audio shop--probably cheaper than having a dealer remove it for you.

Buy a good aftermarket... or head for the salvage yards.

Rare to actually break the things though...
