Crutchfield speaker wiring harnesses don't fit the dash

FYI, I ordered speaker wiring harnesses from Crutchfield for the dash speakers to keep from having to splice wires. The harnesses I received were quite a bit larger than the ones for the 3.5" speakers. After talking with Crutchfield, they confirmed that those were for the door speakers and do not have any that fit the dash speaker connectors.

They are refunding my money and said to just keep the harnesses.

Re: Crutchfield speaker wiring harnesses don't fit the dash

Dont hold me to it, but i believe the harness you need for the dash speakers is for GM vehicles.

Your best bet is to go down to your local Best Buy, show the guy your stock dash speaker and let them find you the harness that matches up.

Really, you can do that??

Obviously I realize what my other options are, I just wanted to post this so others didn't spend the time ordering these thinking they would work in the dash. The reason I was looking to go this route is I am playing around with different dash speakers to see which ones I want and it is easier if I am can just PnP.

And yes I know I can get the Kicker system because it is PnP - I have it now and am not happy with the highs (not enough) coming out of the dash.

Thanks

Thanks man, but I need to get some new pics up. Since those were taken I have added SRT springs and an SRT grill. Will try to get the SRT roof rails on this weekend and update the pic.

Did anyone figure out if there was a harness out there that fits?
