Re: Double Din Install

I used the PAC C2R-CHY4 harness. I have the BA system.

Just want to throw out some other options.

Re: Double Din Install

I used the same bezel to install my 2DIN JVC EXAD DVD system and an aftermarket frame to fit the stereo to the bezel. Works great, no harnesses used - I just soldered the new stereo wiring to the factory harness once I found the pinouts.

Considering hitting the bezel frame and console with 3D carbon fiber wrap but have a few projects lined up first..

Install is a piece of cake. Why wouldn't you hook up the sub to the receiver instead of through the speakers?

Re: Double Din Install

take the time to run your RCA cables to the new radio, it will give you much more control of the subwoofer.

Re: Double Din Install

after finally getting all the parts in, i did the whole install today everything went smoothly and everything until i actually powered it on, it sounded great then i quickly realized that the whole right side speakers arent working, what could possibily be the cause of that. i took it out and double checked all my aires and everything seems to be in order. Any help??

hate to point out the obvious but did you adjust the left/right balance and fade settings on the head unit?

if thats a go, check the levels at the speaker wire with a multimeter. Turn the meter on and set it to measure voltage, connect positive multimeter lead to positive speaker wire, neg to neg and play some music over the system and watch the motion of the meter. The meter needle should move with the music. Make note of the high voltage readings.

If nothing happens, you may have a defective head unit with blown right side.
