ipod cable

I have an aftermarket kenwood nav unit and I want to add an ipod cable. Would it be easier/cheaper for me to install it myself or to go to best buy and have them do it for me. If I do it myself how do I go about doing it? thanks

Re: ipod cable

I feel like kenwood would have an iPod cable that hooks directly into the back of the head unit so all that would mean for install is taking out the head unit but I'm not really sure. That's just my gut instinct

Re: ipod cable

which Kenwood unit do you have? From what I remember from when the Kenwood Rep was here, you would need cable KCA-IP300V. It's not very expensive, in the $40 ball park.

As far as I know, it just plugs into the back of the head unit and then you run the cable wherever you want it (generally in the glove box?)

Hope this helps

Dave
