JL Stealthbox carpet color match for 2005 WK gray interior

Hello all,

For those of you that have the JL Stealthbox in Med Slate Gray, how close is the color match to the OEM carpet? Thinking about picking one up but need to know if I am going to have to have it reupholstered.

Anyone have any good pics?

From My experience in the car audio industry, JL does a great job at matching there carpeting colors. I've only done one in a WK and it was a very good match, i've done tons in trailblazers and they are spot on.

Re: JL Stealthbox carpet color match for 2005 WK gray interior

I had to have mine re-wrapped ($100) to match my dark slate gray interior ('08-'10).

However the earlier model Jeeps will match JL's color almost perfect, so you should be all set!

Is the stealthbox really worth the $650 JL charges on their site?

JL does make great stuff, ive installed several of these, in numerous vehicles and all give off great sound. They do come with a hefty price tag, but they do also sound very good, you may want to check out a place like fiberglassforums.com as you can make a jl stealth box yourself for fairly cheap. Im actually starting prep on it shortly.

i only paid $450 cash for mine at a local car audio shop. It is by far my favorite mod to date.

You're paying for the box. That level of JL is nothing great.

You could get a much higher level of JL and build a custom box for the same price. I'd highly recommend doing that instead. You'll love it that much more IMO
