I recently got a 2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee its got the mygig head unit.
Navigation and all
Boston speakers in SUV
Is there a hidden amp somewhere?
What I want to do is hookup a Memphis amp and a 12 inch solo baric.
Is there a way to know if this head unit has outputs without taking it out the dash? If it doesnt what adapter do I need?
If there is a amp somehere, do I bypass it or just have 2 amps going?

I used to know alot about this stuff back in the day, first time trying it in a while.

someone said something about a line out converter?

I posted in your Jeep forum thread.

I did this install a good while ago... unfortunately I didn't take the time to really document or take photos. I did create this diagram before tackling it. It may come in handy for you but still check my wire designations with WKJeeps.com - 2005-2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee

The part numbers are there for the PAC equipment. The SOEM-T is the "Line out converter". I tapped into the rear factory amp located on the drivers side cargo area. I then just double stick taped my LOC to the body to keep it from getting knocked around. Send me a PM if you have any questions.

(Disregard labeled RCAs from amp to subs... I did this quickly and didn't realize till I made the image those are just speaker wires)
