Navigation & Other Stuff

2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited 5.7. New to me.
System will not retain my home address. Voice Recognition seems to not be working either. I have requested new software from Chrysler.

Should the new updated software solve these issues? All other functions on Radio/Nav systems seems to be okay. Also, are there better graphics in newer system - maps and such?

Thanks, Dusty

Re: Navigation & Other Stuff

Software won't update graphics. As for the hardware not retaining your address, it's either a memory problem, or the backup battery. The unit should retain all of that info even when you disconnect the battery, which means it's probably in RAM, backed up by a watch battery.

Re: Navigation & Other Stuff

After much research, it seems my U Connect RER radio may nave a hard drive failure. Any thoughts if this can be fixed/replaced rather than the whole unit?

All seems okay except entering home address, other addresses and phone book.

Any thoughts?

Thanks!
