RAQ radio issues

I am having strange issues out of my RAQ 6 disk changer radio in my 05 WK.
I have went through two radio's so far and both have done the same exact thing. The cd player mode will disappear and it acts like it's a radio only with no CD. The CD mode button and eject/insert buttons will not work. It seems like it may have something to do with disconnecting the battery, but I'm not sure.

If anyone has any insight to this issue please let me know. Oh, and if anyone has a RAQ 6 disk changer radio I'm interested in purchasing another one. But I would like to figure out what is causing this issue.

Thanks!

bad luck or bad radios. 6 disk changers in general just seem to be picky little beasts.
