My main reason for getting new speakers was that people in my back seat only heard bass and no voice. With these speakers you can hear the song and vocals from any point of my jeep.

The main difference is the power delivered to the speakers, my alpine is about double what the stock HU sends. You will still love them.
sounds awesome cant wait

Re: Stock Speaker Upgrade

I got all 6 speakers from sonicelectronix.com for $185 free shipping. Then I bought two sets of wiring harnesses from crutchfield for 20$. So 205$ for it all!

Re: Stock Speaker Upgrade

I paid a tad bit more than that but went the Boston SE route. I price matched (through sonicelectronix's 105% match program) and also bought the adapters from them (cheaper than on crutchfield). I think I paid $240 to my door, but I really wanted Bostons.

I've heard good things about the bostons. I don't blame you for wanting them! I bought the harnesses from crutchfield because they give you a master sheet of how to install anything. (I really only wanted to know how many clips were on the door panels). I wanted something on paper so I wouldn't have to keep looking at wkjeeps.com haha

the bottom of the speaker will say "Boston Acoustic" on it.

that's another way to tell if you have the Boston System.

Well congrats with your Infinity's. They're usually my choice but I knew if I went the 6x9 route that the Bostons were guaranteed to fit for those front doors that people say are very shallow. The Boston's also had my audiophile ears perked up a bit more than the Infinity's did this time.

Yeah almost all the aftermarket 6x9s mounting depths are too deep for our doors. I wouldn't have bought the infinitys if nobody else had put them in. I would have definitely gone Boston in that situation lol

Re: Stock Speaker Upgrade

And actually looking at the measurements, the Bostons are a tad bit deeper than the Infinity's. Hopefully they'll fit.
