Underseat Subwoofer Box for WK!

I want to put two 12 inch Kicker CVR's in my WK and I want to put them under the rear seat to save cargo space. I know it's possible, but can anyone help me out with a website or someone who can create this box for me. Any help is appreciated.

Re: Underseat Subwoofer Box for WK!

you would def need to go with a "shallow mount" sub woofer for under those seats. However, Sven is right, there isnt a ton of room but some of those subs can work in a less an 3" enclosure. Im sure it can be done with the right custom box... I would LOVE for someone to tru this because im sure a bunch of us would be interested.

list of "shallow subs" from crutchfield.com

you can mount it in the rear cargo area... there are some threads where people built a false floor back there and it looks great.

edit: just noticed you want to do this with 2 12" subs... good luck with hiding those lol

Re: Underseat Subwoofer Box for WK!

Nothing will fit under the backseat in a WK. I had a hard time finding a spot for a pioneer Bluetooth module. There are a couple modules on the driver side and barely a flat spot on the passenger side. I had my entire interior ripped out, there is zero room.
Save your time and look at the JL stealth box.

Re: Underseat Subwoofer Box for WK!

I don't know if you can or have someone build a shallow box for those speakers but that's why I went with this style Kicker box, only mine has two speakers. The pic is copied from wkjeeps.com . I still have access to my floor cargo space.

Re: Underseat Subwoofer Box for WK!

Since you have the dual Kicker 10's box, can you still acces the two little "trap doors" right behind the seat, or do you have to flip the rear seats forward with the box attached to access those? I too am wanting to and a sub(s) without taking up my cargo space or acces to my factory trap doors

Re: Underseat Subwoofer Box for WK!

you can't have your cake and eat it man. if you want 2 12's, then you need the room for the correct box. something that fits in that space would have to be SUPER small, I'm talking under 10 inches to have the correct ratios.

if you're looking for that big of sound, a box with one 15" might actually be smaller than two 12's. just a suggestion.
