Re: What Fuse to tap

For the HU, use the metal framing behind the HU bezel. The metal that the HU screws into. You will see 2 metal brackets in there that holds the HU in place. There are already screws in there to attach you wire to.

I'm standing next to my WK now. I'll take picture right now.

it sounds like your ground connection is bad.

Try going to one of the seat belt bolts and sand away any paint in the area.

I used a bolt that secures the stock BA amp to the body as my ground. Also make sure your using the same gauge wire for your ground as you did for power.

Re: What Fuse to tap

The screws are already there. You can see my wire in there.

The second thing could be the RCA's too close to power wires. If you're RCA's need to cross over power wires, you want them to be as perpendicular to each other as possible to minimize the chance for noise.
I just spent the last hour moving my ground from the stock amp location. I thought it might be too long so I cut the length to around 2 feet. I sanded the paint off the the area around the bolt I attached it to. Its one of the bolts that hold the floor to the Jeep. And..... STILL GETTING THE SAME ABOUT OF ENGINE WHINE!!!

I just checked to make sure none of the signal wires are crossing the power wire except at the amp where they plug in.
