cold air intake

I have a 2005 wk.

Is a cold air intake a good idea or no? I've heard mixed reviews.

what are the pros and cons?

Re: cold air intake

I think it depends on the driving you do, if you do a lot of off road with dust and water crossing's I would say no. I don't think they are really much better than stock as at least the stock gets cold air from behind the grill, I may be wrong though, I'm looking for a srt8 inlet tube atm to replace the plenum on my 5.7, hope this helps.

Re: cold air intake

For 5.7, total waste of money, as it drives worse overall.... been there and went back to stock. Better low end torque and tip in throttle response with stock, and MUCH quieter, without all that awful intake noise. Spend your money on something worthwhile

and here we see the anti intake and anti exhaust guy at it again. To the Op don't listen to this guy, he don't know what hes talking about. every time someone on here gets on him about his claims, he can never prove it. all he does is hate and will shoot down anyones ideas when doing them
