Re: Finally got rid of suspension clunk

After my 2"RC lift I had a rattle. But, I installed new rear shocks during the lift, gas shocks for my Jeep with a 2" lift. My rattle was in left rear, and was simply a top shock mount bolt needing a wee bit more torque. I really don't have a clunk, thank goodness.

Re: Finally got rid of suspension clunk

Hey ants jeep, did you finally get to fix this?

Does anyone know if all this applies to a 2006 4.7 non lifter wk with loose steering wheel? Loose as in it takes half an inch of wheel motion before steering response.

Yeah it diffently tightens up the steering I over did mine and its like brand new but the steering wheel doesn't turn back on its own as fast

Re: Finally got rid of suspension clunk

I actually wound up replacing my FSB links and that took care of the clunk i had. I never was able to get the proper angle to tighten up the steering rack.

I still have a slight clunk over certain bumps and im leaning towards replacing both LCAs this summer.

Re: Finally got rid of suspension clunk

What's the verdict on this? What have people successfully used to tighten? They've already told me I need a new rack, so I might as well try to this and see if it improves things for at least a little while.
