your skid plate is held up by zip ties?

Re: Front Diff Fluid Change Cheat

Are you all lifting your WK to reach the front diff and xcase? I have never done this before but I feel extremely confident I can do this. I am just trying to replace all fluids without having to lift the WK on stands. Rear looks super easy as far as clearance goes. I have a stock 06 5.7.

Re: Front Diff Fluid Change Cheat

rear doesn't need lifting, but the front is easier to do if you have some ramps to drive on to. I suppose if you were really skinny you could do the front without ramps or a lift.

I had the same thing on my TC... Jeeps calls it a damper and it comes off with just 4 bolts. Which will give you full access to the drain plug.

+1 very easy service to do, just take your time and make sure your parked on a level surface.

It also helps to have a suspension lift, cause crawling around under there can be tight if your stock height.
