Re: HOW TO: ADD a Jeep SRT8 exhaust to a non-SRT 8 Grand Cherokee
I wanted to write, how I was just recently rejected for a MA state vehicle inspection. They failed me because they said my exhaust was "loud" and I must have a leak somewhere. After I explained there is no leak, everything is newer and welded the guy got his boss out, where he proceeded to tell me anything that sounds louder than stock he has to fail. Obviously I was PO'd, telling him it is a stock SRT exhaust and the SRT is louder. I didn't get anywhere with him so I left. I ended up going to another shop and told the owner my story with my "failed" exhaust where he said he isn't touching it. So I drove down to a third shop, in a seedy part of the town over, and when the kid asked my why I had a rejection sticker I told him it was for my brake lights and that I fixed them, where he proceeded to just check my brake lights and slapped a sticker on it. So basically it depends which shop you go to, and how anal the inspector is.
I love my Jeep
