Re: How to change the spark plugs on a 4.7 V8 WK Grand Cherokee or Commander

I know this is an old thread but I just picked up two packs of Bosch platinum spark plugs and was planning on putting them in this week. Should I be taking them back to get the factory (Champion) ones?

Just changed my plugs again used the factory champs and the engine is smooth. just hit almost 90,000 the other plugs that came out had a reddish tint to them all of them did and after some research its from fuel additives.

I can't find it now (of course) but I read where it used to be that if a plug boot on a 4.7 was damaged that the entire coil pack had to be replaced, Now there is a factory boot available to replace the damaged one at a considerable savings.

Re: How to change the spark plugs on a 4.7 V8 WK Grand Cherokee or Commander

So I'm reading that one of them will be a PITA to get to. Will I need a special adapter to get into the awkward angle or will I be OK with the normal tools? I want to make sure I have everything I need so I'm not in a panic when it's all torn apart and undriveable.
