How To : Install A Cabin Air Filter...

Here is what I did and how I did it...You can obviously do it however you want as this is only how I did it and should be only used as a guide!

Note From Fizzle1979 : TURN OFF YOUR A/C BEFORE TURNING OFF YOUR JEEP PRIOR TO DOING THIS INSTALL!!!
I didn't turn mine off and it left the passage way open and I dropped a piece down the vent and never found it.

Parts Used:

Cabin Air Filter Assembly
2 Screws Supplied With Kit

Tools Used:

ScrewDriver

Ok, Lets get started...

First pull back the weather/insulating strip half way...

Then carefully pry up the vent part!

Next locate the tabs on the stock filter that you will have to push in and push them in with the screwdriver...

Then just pull out the stock filter...

Take the cabin air filter assembly apart and install the back piece where the stock piece came out of and put the 2 supplied screws in...

Then put the filter in and snap the front cover on...

Put the vent part back on...

Put the weather/insulating strip back on...

And you are done...

Id like to thank Jason (DeMaster) for his help and his hands in my pics...He def made it a quick job, Not even 10min!!

Like always this is just how I did it...I take no responsibility for you!

Re: How To : Install A Cabin Air Filter...

I pried open the vent part and it broke. I blame Frankie and his sub-par write up.

Re: How To : Install A Cabin Air Filter...

Nice write up! I remember installing a filter in mine about a year ago. They don't come pre-installed from the factory. Was a quick job.

Re: How To : Install A Cabin Air Filter...

does putting in a new cabin filter really reduce the amount of dust that gets inside the car??
