Re: How to: Mesh grill on a 08 WK

Thanks guys...the bottom took a little more thought and time, but was def worth it! I think I am going to do a little write-up...

All I have to say is I am glad to have the front of my Jeep all back together...this has been a two week process (vacation and waiting for parts) so I am now DONE with the front!!!!

Re: How to: Mesh grill on a 08 WK

I luv how that lower piece came out. But I have an 05 and it doesnt have the chrome piece along the bottom that looks like it hides the cut edges of the mesh. I think i have to figure a way to install it behind the bumper.

Ive used the industrial rustoleum paints before on metal and they are very durable, and with a few coats of clear over I dont see the paint chipping that easy. Now if I had an expensive piece of mesh I was using i'd prob go with powder coating, but since I stole a section of gutter mesh from a nieghbor rustoleum will do.

Re: How to: Mesh grill on a 08 WK

Thanks bro, I appreciate it!

I felt the same way Timmy...if I ever want to change the style/quality of mesh I can just pull it off and mount up the new stuff. All of the mounting spots will be there!!!

I know exactly what you mean about the chrome piece covering up the mounting hardware and mesh...post a pic with your lower fascia off so I can look at the area (if you want some assistance). I can probably give you some ideas sine I used the exact same mesh you have...either way I think you should give it a shot. Main thing, it will protect the rad and whatever else is down there!!
