not for the HIDs. you are just painting the housing around the projectors.
On a standard halogen lamps, that will be a prob

So I would have a problem, I'm running hids in my original halogen setup, no projectors .

Yeah the light won't bounce off the black housing like it does on the chrome. Best bet would be to buy projector headlights and do it

Anyway to convert halogens to projectors got an additional set of headlights would hate to waste them anyone ever try it with out the projectors, how bad could it be, I'm curious? Thanks guys!

You can still paint the halogen without touching the housing the lows reflects off. I wouldnt touch the surrounding housing, waste of time painting it and surely visibility will be greatly affected

You can paint everything else tho ,
