Re: How To: Sea Foam Automotive Treatment

I have a can of the aerosol spray seafoam...should I put it in the same three places, just spray rather than pour? 5.7 fyi...and great write-up!

Re: How To: Sea Foam Automotive Treatment

Spray will only be used behind the throttle body, take off the throttle body and spray, or carefully open the throttle up and spray.

Re: How To: Sea Foam Automotive Treatment

Yeah the spray is the TB only. I thought about going this route, but decided against it. Doing the vacuum line, it's like 6-8 inches behind the TB mouth (on the 3.7 at least) so I could just carefully clean the TB and not have to spray inside of it.

Re: How To: Sea Foam Automotive Treatment

4.7 and 3.7 are very much alike in terms of layout - just minus 2 cylinders :P

5.7L is a different beast...

Re: How To: Sea Foam Automotive Treatment

I didnt get ANY smoke out of my single can treatment as described in this thread...

BUT Iv noticed HUGE difference, It idles much smoother more responsive exceleration. All in all the vehicle just feels smoother and more responsive. I know thats repetitive but the difference was damn near night and day.

I finally got around to doing this today. Of course when I started putting it into the vacuum line I stalled once. It's definitely working because I was waiting to see which neighbor would call the fire department.

Re: How To: Sea Foam Automotive Treatment

Thanks for the directions. I did this to my WJ last Friday and was pleased someone had taken the time to explain to everyone what to expect.

NOTE: Do not breathe the white smoke. I made the mistake of walking around the vehicle after starting it for the drive and I know better now.
