Re: How to Ver2: make 2008 HID WK headlights plug and play on 05-07 WK's

are you asking which wires to connect the 9006 plug too?

Tudds, I had no clue what to expect when I did mine - I followed the write up Scott provided STEP BY STEP. I'd lay out your new OEM projectors, and the stock wiring harness and it should start to make sense.

The truck is in the shop getting a new bumper cover. I'll take a look at the relay. Someone had an extra and gave it to me.
Are all those non brown/black wires useless and can be trimmed away?

I think the first version of the first write up was a lot better. The passenger side one can be scary figuring out what wire goes to the ballast. Unless I missed it, it's not
Mentioned in the v2 write up. I only used one relay for both headlights.

the version 2 is for a cleaner install. Its best to use both how to threads!

The reason for two relays is so if something on the relay fails...you dont lose both headlamps

Re: How to Ver2: make 2008 HID WK headlights plug and play on 05-07 WK's

I figured that's why there is two sticky threads. My passenger light flickered for a bit initially and then stayed lit like normal after 5 seconds. I tried to replicate it 4 times but it stayed lit. I really want to go inside the headlight and remove that excess wire and get a new grommet.

I just used liquid electrical tape on the ends of the cut wires

Re: How to Ver2: make 2008 HID WK headlights plug and play on 05-07 WK's

So Ive been through almost an adventure with these lights. First one would flicker. Ive been driving a week like this. It would flicker for 15-20 seconds and stay lit. I was using one ddmtuning relay. I drove for about two hours straight and noticed my headlights were out(it was morning now). Popped the fuse and the fuse holder was melted. I replaced the fuse and it popped it again. I ordered two harnesses on eBay for 9 dollars each. My harness on the light must have touched or rubbed the rubber away. Once the new relay was installed the wires smoked and got soft/melted. I separated the headlight harness and the light stayed lit. I tried using the one good harness on both lights like the DDm kit but both wouldnt stay lit. I have the one unfried harness installed and I'm going to check if it can power one light on its own without flickering. Anyways I'm tired of dealing with junk and just bought the xenon depot kits it's 5 times as much but hopefully my hemi won't burn to the ground

Pleased dont be cheap like me people and just buy the good stuff first
