If's its clear, i would say forget it lol. I tried opening my stockers with the clear sealant and after 6 hours of fail i wanted to throw it out the window.
Damn. I have clear sealant lol.

I'm listening Tila!

btw,is there a way to take off the high beam benzel? I took off 3 torx screws on the socket but it wasnt moving and didnt want to force anything.

Paul-thanks man! when it comes to mods i want to get it done asap so its killing me with this weather and humidity we're having. Looks like im going to work on cleaning the sealant from the channels and painting it 2morrow.

Re: Need some help from Painting Pro's

do you by any chance have a dehumidifier? I have one in my basement so before i paint i crank it up to like 40-50 percent humidity so that the paint is in a nice place to shoot and dry.

Re: Need some help from Painting Pro's

Humidity will be detrimental mate.

One word of warning with 2K clear, always use air fed PPE with that stuff. It is highly toxic. But the results are amazing!

Re: Need some help from Painting Pro's

Is there a professional that will take apart your headlights and paint them? I am kind of nervous to risk breaking the expensive srt headlights.

Re: Need some help from Painting Pro's

no dehumidifier. no closed garage either lol. Im not sure but DC Customs used to when he was a vendor here. I think you can find him on the red site. Or PM Mike(Downstate), his set was done by DC.

It def looks intimidating if doing it the first time but IMO there really is no way you can break the lens. If you take a look at the seams, you are pretty much loosing up the sealant in between and prying it off before popping the lens out of the channel. Easier said than done tho lol

Aaron- thanks for the tip! im going to take a look at the 2k clear. I know i took in a good amount of fumes from the paint work we do lolol

Lol is hate to think what I've breathed in.

On a serious note, 2K is lethal. If you do use it, then at the very least use a good respirator and do it outside. Not ideal I admit, but it's way better than the side effects.

As soon as you've cleared the pieces, put them in a seperate room or garage. It's what you can't smell that's harmful with this stuff.

But as Rob says the results are professional looking.
