The diiff's, particularly the ELSD, are not something any one can try to rebuild, even the Jeep dealer. The bearing preload is set using thick shim sets, and a special tool is needed to install them. Jasper remanufactures (not rebuilds) these diffs, and there are over 90 different shim thicknesses needed, since each diff is unique and must be set to exact tolerances.
If it is that bad and about to go, best bet, is to buy a Jasper reman. They do it right (they supply Nascar trannies), and it will be better/cheaper than an all new one from Chrysler.
