Re: Off Road Lights

looking at getting a brush guard and some off-road lights. Does anybody have a walkthrough of the install for the lights, particularly the wiring and switch intstallation?

looking to combo these with the wire grill mod I saw on another thread

Re: Off Road Lights

The install of the lights should be pretty simple, especially if you are putting them on a brush guard. A lot of guards come with pre-drilled holes for off road lights. As far as wiring, check out THIS thread. A ton of good info and diagrams on how to wire them up.

Re: Off Road Lights

Id run the wires through the firewall grommet, just above the brake/gas pedals - then, wherever you want the switch to reside. Omelet has a few directions for switch routing and relay wiring. I've run all my wires through that grommet without issue - remote start, amp and all of my LYTES

Thinking about doing this soon. I want to do the grill facelift first.

Re: Off Road Lights

I am so doing the behind the grill lights! Thats an awesome idea! It seems like it will deter people from ripping your lights off... I will run out to get the materials tomorrow and pics will soon follow!

I'm a big fan of the look of these. I'm not sure I can justify about $100 to spend on some lights. Are there cheap ones that have decent output.

Re: Off Road Lights

Yeah harbor freight sells some. I got these for my jeep yesterday. With coupon they were $15 for the pair. The lights use 100w h3's and are pretty bright...

Sorry I took the pics with my phone so the quality sucks!
