well guys, as some of you may know, I had to rebuild my front bumper last year. Anyway, I also put in a lower grill insert into the lower part of the bumper.
Here is the thread for the bumper replacement and what had happened:
well what happened was.....
I got the supplies from home depot and walmart.
supplies you will need:
1 roll of VINYL gutter mesh*
1 tube of epoxy
1 roll of masking tape
*Must use the vinyl mesh as its easier to work!
(NOTE: IF YOU INTEND TO REMOVE THE AIRDAM THIS IS NOT THE MOD FOR YOU! THIS IS A PERMANANT INSTALL!!!)
1: locate the gap between the airdam and the support behind it.
2: cut the vinyl to shape and tuck between the airdam and support!
!sorry for the blurry pic!
3:Use a lighter to soften the mesh so that its easier to crease, plus it holds its shape better when cool
4: tape the top of the mesh to the back side of the bumper. this will hold it in place as you epoxy it into place
5: Epoxy the top of the mesh down. wait for it to dry. time to dry depends on the product you use
6: Once dry you can reinstall the bumper to the jeep or you can, like I did, epoxy a jeep or any emblem you like to the grill.
