Re: TC & Front/Rear Diff 30k Service

i have a question regarding the LSD additive. I've literally called 6 local Jeep dealers... 4 of them say NO and 2 said YES add it.

Can someone run my VIN and let me know what i need? and if i were to add it, will it effect anything?

8C198717

thanks!!

Re: TC & Front/Rear Diff 30k Service

So.. I bought my 08 4.7L with 28-29K on it...
I'm at like 46K now.. and I've only ever just changed my oil with mobil 1 synthetic and a new mopar filter every 5K since the 30K...

I was planning on doing the full 60K service when I got close to it...

is that wrong??

Re: TC & Front/Rear Diff 30k Service

I dont see whats wrong with it. As long as the previous owner didnt do a service you should be good to do the service at 60k. I mean why not it wont hurt anything.

I'm only confused because 4 dealerships said no to the additive and 2 said yes.

Think im going to use the additive regardless because i cant seem to get a simple YES or NO... based off my VIN# and or drive train.

yea, I'm not worried about the 60K service.. that will be done as I think it should be done by all owners...I'm more asking if its bad that I never changed any fluids like differential or transfer or change spark plugs since I've owned it?

Well i bought my Jeep with 8 miles on the odo and now have 54k and still haven't done the diff fluids or transfer case fluid changes. I did however change my spark plugs at the factory recommended time of 30k using the NGK recommended plugs: Mopar p/n SPZFR6F11G (NGK). Im also changing my serpentine belt now at 54k.

I will let everyone know how the original fluid looks and if anything was low after this weekend.
