Hi y'all,

My '06 WK is being totaled by the insurance company (super sad-face). I *thought* I wanted a TJ Wrangler, but I test drove a 2010 XK (5.7L Hemi -OMFG!!!!!).

The dealer is asking $15k. It has 100,000 mi. Book value is $18k-ish. Carfax is clean. It was a lease. 2 previous owners (I'd be the 3rd).

During the test drive, my wife didn't even know we were going 90 mph! (She drives like a granny, and HATES my driving!)

The only problem I could see was what seemed like a "wheel balance wobble"...

Should I be concerned that it's 3500 below KBB? Is there anything in particular I should look for/at?

Thanks for the input!!!,

Truck Norris

My 2010 XK HEMI 4X4 had 38k miles and was fully loaded as well as Chrysler CPO. It is seriously the best vehicle I've ever owned... and I drove nothing but Mercedes-Benz and BMW for a decade before switching to JEEP. I paid about 25k for it last year.

If it is in good shape then go for it. Check 4-LO. If it triggers a "Service 4WD System" light then make sure they do the 7/29 TSB that addresses it. It is no big deal - it was caused by their buggy N23 recall update.

Mine had a wobble too. Went away when I got new tires. Being full time 4X4 you gotta make sure to get those tires rotated.

Best car ever.
