2004 liberty bcm issues

My parents have a 2004 liberty that 3 of the 4 doors will not lock. Everything that I have heard is that it is a problem with a body control module. My problem is I don't know where to start to look for the one that is bad. They are both retired and don't have money to take it to dealer. Any help would be great.

Re: 2004 liberty bcm issues

Welcome to the garage.
Not familiar with the Liberty, but there is only one BCM and i doubt that the problem is there.
Which door is still locking ok? There is only 1 relay for locking all doors, but two relays for unlocking. You are sure that the problem is only during locking?
You could try a battery disconnect for 10 minutes, this could reset the BCM. (if the jeep still has the original radio, you probably will need the radio code to get it working again after re-connecting the battery).
