2004 trail rated

I understand the trail rating and all but what accessories are installed on a trail rated vs non (i.e. skid plates, tow hooks, etc.)? What parts differentiate them?

Re: 2004 trail rated

I think all Jeeps come with the Trail Rated badge regardless of the accessories.

My Liberty Sport came with a Trail Rated badge but it didn't come with any skid plates or tow points.
I had to buy and install all my own accessories to make it truly Trail Rated.

Re: 2004 trail rated

I can't speak to Liberty's, but not all Jeeps get "Trail Rated".

A 4x2 Summit is most certainly not "Trail Rated".

On the GCs, Trail Rated is basically a 4x4 with skid plates and tow hooks.

The thread is in regards to the liberty and what does it have if it has the badge.

A 4x4 any jeep (even a summit) can be "trail rated". For GC it also has the 18" wheels to get the badge
