A/C

My wife has a jeep liberty and her a/c has started acting up. It cuts on and off and doesn't cool. I took it and had it looked at and the guy said that the high pressure side was going to 500 before cutting out. He said it needed the fan clutch replaced so I did that. That did not change anything it is still blowing hot air. He also evacuated the system and recharged it to spec levels. I'm about ready to scream. What should my next move be?

Re: A/C

Is it the compressor which goes on and off? Does it do this rapidly or does it take at least 10 seconds that it switches?

Re: A/C

It was the compressor. It was taking a few secs before it would cut out. I had it fixed. It was a little low on freon and the fan clutch was bad causing the pressure to go high.

Re: A/C

Was the compressor replaced? Because the fan clutch and freon charge was done when you first posted and still had the problem.

Re: A/C

I had to take it back to the guy and he checked the freon again. He said it apparently he didn't fill it all the way up because of the pressure. He topped off the freon and now all is good.
