2012 Liberty. I recently started to feel a shudder/ hesitation when I reach between 55-60 while passing or climbing an incline? I've had it to the dealer who said they couldn't find anything wrong. I had the transmission fluid changed on their recommendation but the problem is still there. Any ideas what it could be?
Do you see any change in engine rpm when the shudder starts? The torque converter clutch is engaged when driving with constant speed on the highway, but it can/will release when you go uphill, depending on the incline. When it releases, you will see an increase in engine rpm. If the shudder then appears, then it could be a problem with the torque converter clutch lining.
