I have a 2006 CRD and get 26mpg on the hwy and about 20mpg in town, been averaging 23mpg. I have looked into the Green Diesel (Michigan company) eco-tune option and they claim 3-5mpg increase. Anyone do this? Did it work? Any issues?

All of my reading about the Green Diesel tunes are positive. That type of real life fuel economy increase will pay for itself quickly.

Just wanted to throw this in there, those are pretty much the EPA numbers. I don't think I have my window sticker anymore but I believe 26 was highway and 22? city...

I averaged about the same as you, but if I tried, 30+ on the highway was a piece of cake.

Oh boy do I miss that Jeep...

I have the Gde in both of my crd s. I had a 2-3 mpg improvement. But improved acceleration and smoother shifting makes it worthwhile. The bypassing of the egr system is the real payoff in my view. You need to make sure that you won t have any issues with emission Cks if u live in state that does emission cks.
