Finally got our CRD KJ
After 2 years of waiting my father in law gave my wife his 06 Liberty Sport with the 2.8l CRD. Its got 69k miles been babied and in great condition. First order of business if getting it detailed for my wife cause its a bit dirty inside. It runds great but we gotta ditch the oem GY Wrangler ST tires. Terrible tires.
The jeep has had the turbo, EGR, and some other very expensive parts replaced. So I'm assuming it needs some sort of kit like the 3.0 CRD jeeps to prevent the oil blow by.
Thank god yesterday I found the engine block heater zip tied to the engine. Its been down in single and negative temps lately. My father I law never knew it had the EBH, and never looked for it so he was glad to hear I found it had one. He had always wanted one but I guess missed it on the build sheet. Lol whoops.
Anything else I should know about this engine? Its my wife's jeep so its not getting any mods except gome GY Wrangler Silent Armor tires in the 235/70/16 flavor, some husky liners up front and a few other little things.
These are pics from last summer with my 2yr old son. We are burried in over 2 ft of snow right now.
