Help with water leak 02 Libby

Any fellow KJ owners experienced this? I'm getting a pretty bad water leak that comes in at the center anchor points of both sun visors. It has gotten a LOT worse in recent months. Ignored it up to this point (geeting a new vehicle in the next year or so) but I think it has gotten to the point that I need to fix it. Here are some photos of the top of the windshield where it meets the roof. Significant bubbling and I'm sure rust has occured. Any idea what I need to get done here? Not sure if the roof lights have anything to do with this or is it just coming in at the w/s seal? Thanks for the help. This is an 02 Liberty Renegade.

That looks like a serious case of rust, my friend. I think I would have the dealer look at it ASAP.

Good luck!

Re: Help with water leak 02 Libby

I had an Explorer to that - although nowhere near as bad was what you have. yikes. I think I only had about a 6" strip like that. Mine started to this due to a shoddy job on a windshield replacement. It eventually started leaking into the interior; i.e., water would drip down on the center console area when it rained).

A body shop could have repaired it - they would take out the windshield, then grind/sand away all the rust, then rebuild everything with putty / epoxy. I opted to sell the Explorer. For a Liberty!
