I bought my wife a '13 WK2 but I will keep my Liberty.
We just bought a WK2 last Wednesday and this weekend it died (its a 2014). We got a Liberty as a loaner. They are all over the place here on Long Island and I have always loved the look of them. We didn't consider one because of basically getting the same or better mileage with the bigger GC, and because of all the reviews that say its outdated, lacks refinement, you probably have talked about this all here before...
But I took it out tonight for a drive for the first time, and I just get it. Probably great in the snow, great visibility, engine has some go to it, I like how it feels on the road. Came in with a grin on my face and my wife says, "took the Liberty to the store?" I said yep. She said something about it but she instantly felt at home in it, just like we did when we test drove the WK2.
I have had a Wrangler for a year after being out of the Jeep brand for 25 years prior to that, and now I think I get it when people say you wouldn't understand... I'm starting to think none of the car mags do. They clearly don't understand why this type of vehicle is so appealing. Makes me sad for them. Lol.
